We did good work reorganizing the Elder Districts. As you introduce yourselves to people throughout the church, let them know that you wanted to be their Elder and get to know them (as opposed to Elders wanting to remove people from their lists). I observed Andrew doing this kind of introduction very well the other morning. Good job A Man.
We discussed the issue of raising awareness, retelling the story of how Shepherding Elders emerged within Emmaus Road: Ben had the brilliant suggestion of employing Fred, our Muppet friend, some Sunday. We will also use powerpoint slides, and find a new space for an Elder/Council board to display.
We discussed scheduling for the year, including Road Crew and nomination process. Full Council meeting January 10; Road Crew January 31 (already published via slides, programs, and coming eMonthly). We discussed the need to address finances at these meetings, a late follow-up to what we pledged to do back in August.
